We bloggers like a good quote, don't we?

This group is for your favourite quotations, and i'm not just talking about things you read in Bartlett's. It could be an inspirational excerpt from an ancient text; a memorable line from a movie; advice an old school teacher gave that stuck with you. It can even be something you overheard at the bus stop this morning.

Add a poignant photo to accompany your quote.

If you tag the posts, perhaps we can build up a searchable bank of our own favourite words, phrases, quotations...

You get the picture. Join the group and get quoting. You can quote me on that.

haha! that's a brilliant quote ookiine, and I really admire the fact you selected it. john lydon later tried to explain what he meant by it, but the explanation was nowhere near as effective as the statement.

Spoken at their last gig in the 70's, right?

Lydon's still worth keeping an eye on. I even like the new butter adverts.

Correct. Their last US date back in 1978. I'm not sure if it was supposed to be their last one, but it became their last one...

Yes. John went on to bigger and better things with Public Image Ltd. and then a solo album in 97-ish. He's done a lot of TV work which, from I what I have seen in the US, was awesome (3 episodes of "Rotten TV" on VH-1 [Very Horrible 1]) and other miscellaneous stuff and stuff for the Discovery Channel UK.
