Yeah, even though it was the same plot more or less everytime, it was essential afterschool viewing. I reckon that it was one of the few shows that watching it made you a better person. Where else is there an action series that taught you what compassion was?

Macguyver taught resourcefulness and the enduring spirit of freedom which, armed only with a sachet of tomato sauce, made it possible to escape fortknox.

He didn't teach you that, if you had the capability to leap into other people' bodies, you wouldn't shag around (which let's face it has got to be the first thing you'd think of), you'd actually go around trying to understand and make people's lives better.

Although, having said that, everytime there was a clinch he'd quantum leap- So I guess he had no choice. Cue opening credits/voiceover...
