In the instructions youll notice that you can be anywhere within 2km of your closest spot to drop your rock/stone and take a pic. The reason is that the image is seen from such a distance away (space, basically) that there's quite a bit of give :)

WOO HOO, We had a mini adventure last night, i went out an found a nice big peice of sand stone, got the tom tom set up for our location which was very close to our fave restaurant mmmm Fagitas then we drove to the location to snap our pix an I've just posted 52.3475,-2.23881,
