As the next door in the calender opens and we move on may I say thanks for all the comments.

The stone deer is on the roof of a house in Wimbledon, up the hill near the common where the houses are posh and you can see all over London. In the week before Christmas a red nose appears on it, much to the delight of my daughter. I love it that someone does that, climbs on the roof and puts a plastic nose on a stone deer!

This year we probably won't see the deer as since we moved here it is no longer an area we visit or travel through. Using this picture was my moment of Christmas nostalgia. It was one of the first photos I took last Christmas when Santa brought me a proper camera. I am reminded of the countless number of times we passed the deer house travelling between our old home in Putney to my mother's home in Tooting.

That's lovely :) So long as there are people out there willing to put a nose on a stone reindeer, and other people out there to notice and point it out to others, there's hope for the world yet. Thank you.
