apparently, you're not supposed to take your bike out in the rain, if you look at the bikes for sale ads in cycling weekly, bikes that have never felt a drop of the wet stuff are advertised for much higher prices than the kind of douchebags we ride. What puzzles me is how they managed it. Did they do their "only 500 dry miles" round and round the garden, so they could nip indoors quick if it got cloudy? We should be told!

That just seems such a waste. What's the point of having a bike designed to be blasted off road or jumped etc, if it's not going to be used for that purpose? It's like people who buy fast cars to "display" at shows, complete waste of time!!
