Really it isn't. We walk about 15 minutes into the woods to find this rope swing. People add things to it with a kind of hacker ethos continual improvement. 'cept it never really works. One time, Griff swung out on a kind of branch seat which snapped which he claims nearly broke his arm. This time someone had fashioned a loop for your foot but when you swung out you twisted horizontal leaving you with no sense of control. To encourage the kids, I had a go but found it was just very, very scary.

I know! I ate one once. It tasted a bit like a black robin Ikiwi joke). Actually, possums are an introduced species in NZ. Too plentiful and pest. Wearing them on our heads is the least we can do to keep the numbers down.
