Bridges are good. I got wet feet and beat a hasty retreat.

that's tip-top gorgeous

Oh, I love this! The perspective is tricksy and it looks like something entirely different in thumbnail compared with the full-size shot ...

can someone tell me how and when sprocket crossed over to the dark side?

and thanks. I do love a swamp and a bridge.

lol - Dhamaka renamed me after MaggieD drew me as one of Dr Who's cybermen

That looks like the sort of picture you'd see on Christmas cards, lovely :)

swamprose says:

we know the exact moment he crossed over?
wow. does dr who know about this?

540, I would rather not do christmas card photos. guess I need to go to the dark side.

ironically, this bridge is over a creek named for the wendigo, the native cannabalistic spirit of evil.

Wowza. Great photo!

Love the photo, but the mention of bridges and creeks makes me think of Cat's Eye

Again with the gorgeous - though gorgeous in a leaden, icy, dark side sort of a way, if that helps?

On the other hand, I cannot take seriously a malignant water spirit by that name. Nothing involving the sound "Wendy" can be truly threatening. ;)

Still the drowning ladies really are a near-universal myth; I grew up with charms & offerings to avoid the attentions of Ginny Greenteeth who lay in the waterweeds waiting to drown the incautious...

Agree with Itchy - it's tricksy. Am I in the gutter looking at the stars or rising above looking into the swamp. Dreamy

It is very beautiful

swamprose says:

hildegard, thank you for the leaden weight but you do need to fear the wendigo. It is not in the sprite category.

facto, I did print it, but now they want a BIG ONE for class, bigger than my humble printer, so I have to go to the SERIOUS printer, where the real photographers hang out.

factotum says:

Are you printing it on a photo paper or on some other fine art watercolour paper?

21st Jan 2009, 01:48

swamprose says:

doing it all, facto. and I have been collecting paper for a long time.
