Good grief, how warm was it?!

Loved this whole series.

It was 15 degrees when we got up there, but hit 18 degrees about an hour later. I was totally unprepared for it so had to lug my fleece, winter jacket and skitrousers in my backpack the entire day!

We saw several sunbathers on the snow that day :)

Viv, this is not vancouver. it is grouse mountain outside of vancouver. vancouver is surrounded by the rockies and the ocean. It is one of the best cities to live in because you can be somewhere like this very quickly.

Thanks guys!

Swamprose> Technically Grouse Mountain is part of North Vancouver, and is part of the Howe Sound range rather than the Rockies. It is about an hour on public transport (and costs a whole $2.25) to get from my apartment to the base though, so I guess it's not that close to me.

I agree, it is nice to live in a city where you can be in the middle of nowhere in less than an hour!
