I used to watch Beverly Hills when I was about 10 years old and wrote about it a lot in my own student magazine called Schlampe. (Of course I also covered top stories about Chesney Hawkes and David Hasselhoff. REALLY need to find the original copies next time I am in Berlin.)
I just had a look at the new Beverly Hills episode on 4oD and was amazed at how young everyone looks. The whole bloody family (including teacher) could be 20. And even though it is set in the US they play the Ting Tings and Coldplay and the Klaxons?! Weak.

I stole the picture from 4oD by the way.

High School: The Musical is the only thing I can think of that's worse.

Oh and Channel4's new reality TV show in which they jack up kids on E numbers and see if they kill each other!

Tristan Wilds is a fantastic young actor. I'm surprised to see him do 90210.

That's the one Judo-Jule.

Nige- whoever this Tristan is- he must be very good-looking, extremely skinny and an amazingly good singer.

OJ- I wrote a long blog post about the show yesterday. Unfortunately it is in German.

I know that it is wrong but still enjoyed it quite a lot. It just confirmed my conception of children- they are mean and dont know how to use the kettle. I didnt even feel sorry for them. I just felt sorry for myself.

I guess I should overthink my future baby plans. ;-)

Ha, well my German is a bit creaky (very creaky) so I may not wade through that just now.

I'm being a bit flippant about the show really. I think the way kids behave (bullying etc.) when given lots of sugar and no structure could be predicted and it's just a bit depressing that they've put the kids through that - as if it's a genuinely interesting question that's worth the distress for some of them.

Judo-Jule says:

Yeah- well I can understand Channel 4 showing the show and the kids wanting to take part but not the parents allowing it.

I mean in the end it's just a pseudo scientific Big Brother.
