"And as you cross the circle line,
Well the ice wall creaks behind
You're a rabbit on the run.
And the silver splinters fly
In the corner of your eye,
Shining in the setting sun.
Well do you ever get the feeling
That the story's too damn real
And in the present tense.
Or that everbody's on the stage
And it seems like you're the only
Person sitting in the audience
Skating away, skating away, skating away
On the thin ice of the new day"

Thank you! I'm so happy to be able to take playful shots again. It's been a long while.
Thanks for the h/l! :D
Thanks, Euphro. I was having fun!
Thank you, Lyz! Melt is a fantastic, wonderful thing.
Thank you, Shitake. :)
Thank you, Sprocket and Viv. I haven't felt this playful in too long. :)
Thank you! I went back outside after I'd posted, and took some more shots. The last 3 are from the second session.
I had to - it's quite beautiful and also looks to me like a humming bird diving head first into a large drop of nectar
Fabulous set.
*Somewhere* I found some amazing, poetic writing about ice-formation, when - if? - I remember where I'll send it to you
Dhamaka, now that you say, I saw that hummingbird immediately. :)
You bet it is, Para! At this point, it's quite novel too. :D
Thank you, JD. The writing sounds wonderful, I appreciate that.
Some of these remind me of shots I've seen of a caterpillar spinning a cocoon... Fantastic compositions!

Wow, thank you! I was astonished by the one icicle having a fast stream from the inside. I have no idea how that happened, but I loved shooting it.
Cool! :) I like your new header and flower thingy. Spring-like in more ways than one.
Thank you, SB! I need those bright colours right now. Harimanjaro is responsible for my new avatar, with his beautiful shot of celandine. :)
