"And as you cross the circle line,
Well the ice wall creaks behind
You're a rabbit on the run.
And the silver splinters fly
In the corner of your eye,
Shining in the setting sun.
Well do you ever get the feeling
That the story's too damn real
And in the present tense.
Or that everbody's on the stage
And it seems like you're the only
Person sitting in the audience

Skating away, skating away, skating away On the thin ice of the new day"

'Orses, the Silly Side

hildegard says:

Aw, that's a happy wee herd & some splendidly daft expressions. Nice to see all those forward-pointing ears - can't be just the hay. ;)

Caine says:

Thanks. :) No it wasn't just hay, Rick had dog biscuits in his pocket, and the Chestnut was after them and trying to eat my camera, he really liked the shutter noise.

These are fabulous! I love the fellow with the wide blaze, he looks like a flirt! :)

Caine says:

Thanks, Silar! He was on the shy side at first, but after the Chestnut checked me out, he came right over. The milk bones were a hit. :D I felt so bad about not remembering carrots, I told Rick we'll have to go by tomorrow with a treat, they are so sweet.

Charmers!

Caine says:

Thanks, Javama. They were real sweethearts, especially when they weren't trying to eat my camera. :)

Thanks, Factotum. They were very friendly, unusual for horses around here, most are wary of people that aren't their people.

Thank you, PJ! We had a good time with them. They've provided me with great shots and they really like shutter noises. A lot. :D

They seem very fond of each other, Rick & the ponies, I mean the ponies with each other. Or are they competing for your attention?

Another amazing series ..... so glad you and Rick are out and about :)

Caine says:

Joker, they were close, they acted like they had been together for a very long time. There was also an element of competition, just in case a tasty treat showed up. Rick had dog biscuits in his pocket, which the Chestnut sniffed out, so Rick gave everyone a biscuit. They quite liked that. They were also fascinated with the cameras, they kept sniffing and lipping them and the Chestnut tried to take a bite out of mine.

Thanks, Maggie. It's good to be out and about!
