What goes on top, grass or chamomile?

Salome NLI says:

oooh! Camomile is a good idea. Imagine sleeping on a camomile sofa...

We did consider that. But camomile turf is expensive (it needs turfing, as waiting for stuff to grow from seed will take longer than it will take for rain to wash away sofa). £180/sq metre, last I checked.

Plan is to plant some herbs on different parts of seat - so one seat might smell of camomile, one of thyme, etc.

Mms, the patchwork herb planting sounds like it oculd be fab, not to mention very Shakespearean. :)
If the sofa has a spot that's particularly free-draining (or you fancy planting a crack in some sunny paving) Corsican mint is a wonderfully robust, low-growing little thing & smells completely glorious. I used to go to a local park on sunny days just to walk on it in the herb garden's paving...

I can't post the full link as it is detected as spam, but chamomilelawns co uk is offering chamomile turf at £45 per sq m though not till May - there may well be others.
