yeah, one of the guys i rode with on Saturday had some nice GPS kit attached to his bike, which is useful for all sorts of things. I have been considering an N95 for some time, but I'm not willing or able to enter into a contract.
cool! Haha, I can see you getting a road bike within the year.
Was SportsTracker useful then 540? I think it's great. Saves me a lot of time when tracking miles and speed as I rarely follow the same route.
hobo - haha maybe, you just never know....
nige - It was fun to see my route plotted out like that and I guess it'll be interesting to compare times/speeds etc. But did I mention that it told me I got to 34.5mph? That has become my phrase of the week!! :)
pp - Indeed I do, well mostly, with a bit of path or grass thrown in :)
This is Britain, Puff, we're not as advanced as Holland yet.
Probably worth looking again 540, as I think it's measured in kms/hour, but still rather bloody impressive! Hope you continue to find it useful. Sounds like you're shaving masses of time off your recent rides!
far too many cyclists measure their distance/speed in km/h just because the end number is bigger.
Indeed hobo, indeed!! nige, I set mine up on the phone in mph, but on the website it still comes up as kmh. So, did I mention that I clocked 55.5kmh? ;)
puff - There are paths part of the way, but they are less smooth and only get used when it's to my advantage speedwise :)
Hahahaha! I hit, like 42kph yesterday evening, and I was like "YES! Faster than 540!". Alas, i'm still way off... :D
You'll get there my man, you'll get there. What you need is a bit of a hill to get you going, that's my secret. On which note the thought has struck me that hobo should be getting over 40mph on a downhill section easily.
I think hobo breaks the speed limit downhill. He's just to classy to admit it.
He is indeed a classy guy, I reckon he storms past 40, but doesn't want to make us feel bad ;)
