lordy he's growing fast

24th Aug 2005, 12:19

martwine says:

All the fuckin' time, the vicious little nipper. He's no fun anymore. I think we should get a new one.

24th Aug 2005, 12:20

Helen says:

Girl cats are better.

24th Aug 2005, 12:21

martwine says:

Yeah Rich, you should listen to Helen. Get us a girl cat.

24th Aug 2005, 12:25

OJ says:

Our cat has been a bit of a nipper lately and one theory is that it happens when you trigger mating behaviour. For instance in our cat it happens when you rub her tummy a lot. You can tell because they often go for your wrist. Do you think it might be that?

ps. Our Teazle doesn't look unlike your Elvis ie. wee, tabby, white of sock.

pps. Apologies for turning your blog into a cat forum.

24th Aug 2005, 12:26

Rich says:

He's just trying to learn how to fight and kill things, and unfortunately we're lame at that. I stuck him out in the rain for a few minutes, that learn'd him good n proper.

Seriously Martwine, we need to buy some mice from the pet store and kick up the training to the next level.

24th Aug 2005, 12:26

Steve says:

Or a cat lady that wears a leotard and fights with sticks using her ninja powers......... or not....

24th Aug 2005, 12:27

martwine says:

You know I'm only teasing. But a supply of real animals for him to learn on - now you're talking. I expect that guinea pig farm is lookin to offload pretty quickly...

24th Aug 2005, 12:28

Joe says:

heh
frying pan -> fire for the guinea pigs

24th Aug 2005, 12:29

Rich says:

Don't worry about it, I've made a fairly good attempt at turning it into a cat blog meself. Re: The mating response thing, that's the theory that's in my book too, it's almost certainly what's happening. It's partly a matter of striking a balance between when he wants to be all cuddly and realising when he's confused because we should be commencin' to fuckin'. ewwww.

Aw, man! We need us a videocamera, I can see Guineapig Holocaust as the surprise hit of the 2006 summer season.

24th Aug 2005, 12:30

martwine says:

One kitten...Twelve hundred Guinea Pigs...Three days... One survivor.

We could have little traps for them and everything. Ooh.. like in Lemmings!!!

24th Aug 2005, 12:33

Helen says:

Heh, castrate him!

24th Aug 2005, 12:33

Rich says:

I want to find him a ladycat to knob first, let his genes be carried on.

24th Aug 2005, 12:35

martwine says:

I think Rich is struggling with the Ethics of removing his kitten's right to shag procreate

24th Aug 2005, 12:35

Steve says:

Noooooooooo

24th Aug 2005, 12:35

OJ says:

Ewwwwww indeed. Though I find it marginally more annoying when she headbutts my face/balances on my head in the morning ( I said she was wee).

I expect he's trying to tell you who's boss (I'll give you three guesses and the winner's cousin's a tiger).

24th Aug 2005, 12:35

martwine says:

see?

24th Aug 2005, 12:35

Rich says:

let's face it, the world needs more tabby moggies.

24th Aug 2005, 12:37

Helen says:

I'd offer Meg and Mog, but we had to have them modified, otherwise Cats Protection would have taken them, or the kittens away from us and had the kittens doctored, thus ending the gene line anyway. They would have had beautiful babies : (

You get over it. Have him done before he starts spraying.

24th Aug 2005, 12:37

martwine says:

Yeah, definitely do it before then Rich (or go and live somewhere else).

Would have been great to have had purebred moblog (kitten) babies though.

24th Aug 2005, 12:39

Steve says:

Are you always this way with testicals?

24th Aug 2005, 12:41

martwine says:

Me? Always.

[edit] Testicles, however, are a different matter entirely

24th Aug 2005, 12:41

Helen says:

I think Benji's should definitely be taken away, I've been campaigning for months.

Moblog mogs. Aww.

24th Aug 2005, 12:43

Rich says:

We've got another couple of months left before nard choppage becomes necessary, I reckon we can find him a willing cat-whore in that time.

24th Aug 2005, 12:46

alexis says:

like Lemmings? I think setting some of them up as "blockers" would involve a bit of superglue, and , bombing them at the end to clear the level would be... messy...

24th Aug 2005, 12:53

Rich says:

But oh, so rewarding. Imagine having to fit them all with parachutes though!

24th Aug 2005, 12:54

alexis says:

Rewarding, if they make those same "splat" noises.
...It would be worth it. Besides, you wouldn't have to outfit all of them. Most levels need under 100% survival.
Besides, they'd look quite nice in them, I imagine... Even without the green hair. (Though this is also something that can be fixed)

24th Aug 2005, 13:02

Helen says:

Eh? Lemmings, kittens, testicles? I'm not sure I'm following.

24th Aug 2005, 13:07

kostika says:

Rich we should get Elvis and Charlie together to fight. Charlie'll try and take your whole arm off if you give him half a chance.

Not gonna be 'fixing' my charlie though. He's gonna be an inside/outside cat anyhow.

24th Aug 2005, 13:13

Rich says:

Elvis is quite liking the indoors side of that equation at the moment, who can blame him with this glorious English summer of ours though. Slightly disappointing to Martwine and Mat, who I think were hoping for a pure-bred jungle commando by now. Still, 'e's only young, I'd imagine the extreme ultraviolence and long sabbaticals will kick in with those awkward teenage years.

Plus! Kostika, you've been letting Team Kitten down with your infrequent updates on Charlie, we also need more pictures of Ultraruby's Paisley.

24th Aug 2005, 13:15

kostika says:

I shall update now. I've been taking pictures with the real camera and not the phone. :o)

24th Aug 2005, 13:17

Helen says:

Again, girl cats are better at hunting. Less lazy. Mog's on the prowl nearly all the time. Meg's a little lazier, but sleek and mean.

Girl cats. I tell you.

24th Aug 2005, 13:19

kostika says:

I've always had male cats. And I tell ya, every one of them has been little scrappers. Nastier than any female cat I've seen.

BTW...charlie has been updated. :o)

24th Aug 2005, 13:34

Helen says:

They fight other boys and forget to hunt. Tsch. Boys.

25th Aug 2005, 19:41

kostika says:

Actually my last cat used to fight anything that got in his way and he used to tease the dogs next door

25th Aug 2005, 19:53

Lauren says:

coll web love the pics
