"english summer"?, so it's not just a fluke that it's rained at least once every single day since july.
(why didn't anyone warn me?)
Alexis: take comfort in the fact that Scottish summers are, if anything, worse. Particularly here on the Atlantic-facing West Coast.
I don't know, I might actually like worse more. In York, it's just been , very teasing weather. rain rain rain, sun for 30 minutes, rain , sun for ten minutes, rain rain rain. and then more rain. : )
Oh, come on. You knew. What's England famous for, apart from warm beer and bad teeth?
Damp and boring climate.
It would be like me showing up in LA and saying "It's really hot and sunny! Why didn't anyone warn me?" :)
I probably would say that.
Wel, I'm warning you now. South California is very hot and sunny, in the summer. I only spent 20 mins in LA last time, but it was toasty hot and very bright.
"Lizard scum"
Doesn't sound like my kind of place. But they have Rocket Dogs there, lots and lots of Rocket Dogs (well they come from LA).
Rocket dogs!!!!! I was so impressed until I found this :(
Eww. There are, like most things, good Rocket Dogs and bad Rocket Dogs.
(image of helen going up to a poodle with jets on, saying "bad rocket dog")
*googles*
Aw, c'mon. If they're not going to be actual rocket-propelled canines, then Rocket Dogs should at least be either a surreal psychedelic metal band or a hot dog made with massively hot chilli sauce. Or both. At the same time. You've got a good-sized Vietnamese community on the West Coast, why can't you have hot dogs with Vietnamese chilli sauce? And they eat actual dog in some parts of Vietnam. Hmmmm. I feel a recipe coming on...
But then what would I wear on my feet?
There should be a warning on the box:
Warning Product may not contain either rockets and or dogs
no, I swear. last year, York was all sunshine and slightly cloudy days. (by "all" , I mean the two weeks I was here)
Before that, I'd only been to London in fall. that redefined gloomy.
England isn't famous at all. I'd never even have heard of it if it weren't for those bugs, or, er, beatles. (kidding. completely kidding.)
It's famous for tea, and bad teeth. Seattle,WA is famous for rain. (and it's a lie! Washington just says it rains all the time to keep people out of their wonderful lovely state.)
and. rocket dogs? will google when I get back. (thought it was a childrens shoe company?)
I can't think of any real good reason to go to LA. I keep trying to come up with things. It's not always hot/sunny, though.
London tends to be rather sunny in the erm...... summer...... damn you wine!
I like autumn.
When it's dry.
Grenwich park in the autum is beautiful..... actually not been in a while..... must rectify that
I like London autumn, bit less muddy than back home.
all the red but with fewer browns
