this is why, when the weather is good enough, I brush my dog outside.

he's at the tail end of blowing out his winter coat, it's not always this bad. birds in our garden will have very nicely lined nests this year.

Oh yes. I have several large bags of ex-coat saved up. My Mum has a spinning wheel, but she also has a temporarily knackered shoulder, so it's all on hold right now.

This is mostly undercoat too, it's incredibly soft. Makes angora feel like sandpaper.

We used to have the same scene when I grew up with Samoyeds. When they got older, the bolder birds like chickadees would hop right up to them if they were napping in the yard and help themselves!
