(Newcastle) Gateshead revisited

Went out to take a bit of a photographic love letter to a beautiful city and its many bridges. Ended up photographing looming shadows. That's pretty much how I feel today. What use is our fine culture if the electorate is still persuaded by fascists? Sorry Newcastle, not your fault - though I note that there's a Mosley Street and wonder about a connection.

Love the last shot. As for the elections; it's the first time I've ever been ashamed to come from Yorkshire

perhaps it's time we did take them seriously - though not in the way they want us to!

Thanks for the comments. I don't think we need to let the extremists dominate the debate but we need to take them seriously. In the pockets where they've managed to build up support by appealing to disaffected white, working class voters, I believe they pose a real threat to the wellbeing of minorities.
