you do well to dread to think, for I am in much pain after a day of, well, pain. It's 50 miles to Carmarthen via NCN route 4. I thought it was 30, and seriously misjudged the rationing of effort, leaving my knees almost unable to turn about 5 miles from town. Fortunately the last bit was all downhill, and there was a train back, eventually.
