Its a scorcher today (24th June)

Wow its hot here near the seaside, the seagulls are all on the beach! Miles of sand drying out and becoming golden. On the right of the second picture you can just see Rhyl. The seagulls sunbath or paddle in the water from a stream, people sit in the shade eating icecreams or drinking cups of tea (not like Brighton where everyone wants to sit on the beach (or is it pebbles?) -I googled it and found he pebbles on Brighton beach are the remnant of the chalk debris (which includes flints) which was eroded from the chalk landscapes of southern Britain.
So when people have a sandy beach they sit on the concrete promenade, and when there are lots of pebbles, they all crowd to sit on the pebbles --The English are a funny lot!
