I've been working all summer for this, and now it's here I have to wait for it to charge?

Oh well.

good choice!

I'm saving for a d70...but it's not going well :(

She is lovely: more bits than I know how to use, but some beautiful results already.

The D70 is gorgeous, Joe - stay on target!

Looking forward to seeing the results from this baby...

Hmmm... that raises an interesting point: should I keep my phonecam and realcam pics separate? I think probably so.

Sorry, moblog. Flickr will be getting my spangly-snaps.

alexis says:

ough, but, will you forget about your moblog, then? : ( don't want that.

neel says:

No, no, no, no, no. No. Much as I'd like to, I don't think I'll be carrying Eliza around all the time.

It's a two-way freeway.

yay. and... AAaww. You named her.
(hope you don't mind my adding you as a flicker contact. looking forward to seeing shots. : )

Steve says:

Why not have another moblog for your spangly pics?

You shame me with your purist site :)

neel says:

I think moblog and Flickr have quite different upload/interface paradigms, ones that are suited to their specific things. Flickr is in no way a 'blog, as a moblog is; moblog provides no photosets (beyond forcing them with tags) and has smaller image sizes. I have no problem with these differences - I just think that they are different.

Originally, I thought she'd be a he (manly black ruggedy-ness, etc) but saying "he" just sounded weird. "Eliza" also sounds odd, and hasn't completely stuck just yet, so I'm contemplating switching to Minerva, which would do the same job and sound a little less like a real name.

There's going to be a wee delay in any spangle-snaps getting online: although I have broadband at the moment (like, this second), the mac I have with me is wery, wery old and can't connect USB thingies (eg, a camera). Once I get home I'll have the computer but not much of a connection. Patience is a virtue.

The future is minimal, Steve. :- ]

Excellent as I am rather diminutive myself.

Helen says:

What, like Minerva MacGonagill in Harry Potter?

Looks very, very nice indeed. Don't suppose there's any change left for that Shuffle?

29th Aug 2005, 14:15

neel says:

Maybe a little left for shuffleness. But not like Harry Bleedin' Potter, no.

*PING*

Think I hammered the last nail into the coffin of 'Eliza' by bursting into a dazzling My Fair Lady medley upon being told said name. In time, neel's ears will stop bleeding.

(Let me know if the camera manages to turn itself into a cat.)
