I love to see hares - seeing more than I did a few years ago, used to see lots in Norfolk but not sure I've ever seen a marsh harrier - although I have seen birds of prey i haven't identified so it's possible

AF: I will look up your artist as I don't think I'm familiar with his work.

Viv: We saw so many wonderful creatures at the nature reserve but the hare and the marsh harrier were probably the rarest. I haven't seen a hare since we holidayed near Stowmarket in Suffolk several years ago although I had heard they were in Kent which is where we were yesterday. The presence of Marsh Harriers at Elmley is well documented and we were lucky enough to see 2 as well as other birds of prey.

Jane: For me hares are magical creatures. Special indeed.
