..or LOTS.. not sure as was marvelling at the beauty of the spot light in the dark . (0:

6th Jul 2009, 18:21

jen says:

it's a man illuminated by light
alls well

8th Jul 2009, 22:33

jen says:

but I'd say, that as he's not in his kitty jay pose (hunched up, looks as though he's in agony, arms flailing dramtically) that it's LOTS

8th Jul 2009, 22:34

babs says:

I have the "hunched up, arms flailing, etc " one but it's even more fuzzy than this !! (0:

*bows to jen's knowledge of Lakeman body language and conceeds .

Yes, I think you're right. It's LOTS.

9th Jul 2009, 08:14

jen says:

*isn't sure whether the knowledge of lakeman body language is a good thing*
*may mean that has been paying a little too much attention in gigs...*

9th Jul 2009, 22:16

babs says:

..one must always pay attention, otherwise one may miss things .
Like for instance , erm, the way one can tell just from one pic what song was being performed at that particular time .
I'm particularly good at recognising RTBK from photographs. It's the triangle you see ,

9th Jul 2009, 23:46

jen says:

yes...the triangle of wonder
for the more dramatic songs, he tends to lean forward more, and for the more livlier ones, he's more upright
hm

13th Jul 2009, 01:06

babs says:

...*dashes in breathless from t'mire , leans against wall with one a hand , puts other hand on hip and huffs and puffs a bit ..

it's no good jen, I'm getting too old for all this ..I startled several sheep on t'moor on my way back..
truddles every where..
He does actually. Gives it some right welly though on Kitty Jay,once he's upright. I fear he'll spontainiously combust one of these days.
Maybe , as he gets older he'll favour the Val Doonican seated approach to the slower numbers...
hopefully not the jumper though.....

13th Jul 2009, 16:43

jen says:

just googled that bloke, looks like bob celso from scrubs!
I reckon seth'll be able to stand when he's in the more senior years. Unless he weras himself out now.
I always wonder whether he'll just run out of energy on stage and collapse.
*wonders who would be the first person on stage to give him cpr*
*peers out the blog window at the startled sheep*
you're right, they are a wee bit spooked. perhaps we need to set up some form of transport between tha blog and mire...

13th Jul 2009, 21:11

babs says:

love scrubs (0:

Maybe we could make dear little sled/cart type things and train the sheep to pull us along. There's a couple of old supermarket trolleys in the front garden of Lakeman Towers we could get the wheels off ??

13th Jul 2009, 22:28

jen says:

*loves scrubs too*
*damns big brother forever*

We could! I wonder if the ol' flying surfboard is still in working order...maybe we could design something from it? similar design with sheep instead of kittiwakes

14th Jul 2009, 18:04

babs says:

.don't get me started on big brother *seeths.

oooooo the flying surf board.

it's in the back of the shed I think jen.

*rummages

just needs the kitty wake poo washing off and the hole repairing where the gannet mis-timed it's dive.

see if you can modify it jen, I'll get the sheep off t'moor.

*goes to round up sheep

*wonders if simply shouting 'cum by' works on sheep as sheep are non too bright and could easily be fooled into thinking there's a dog about even if there isn't one.

*tries it..

15th Jul 2009, 08:20

jen says:

*tinkers with flying surfboard*
*hears the distant shouts of 'cum by' from babs*
*continues tinkering*
hm, thinking should give it some wheels, and make the board part more bulky so it can cope with across moor driving
*thinks that a bigger wrench is needed*

15th Jul 2009, 20:01

babs says:

right, got them cornered over there. *points. had to bark a bit .
I'll knit each sheep a harness , might even add a few little bells to make a pleasant jingling sound .
It's coming along nicely jen.
will supermarket trolley wheels be big enough??

15th Jul 2009, 21:19

jen says:

hm....I was thinking more along the lines of quad bike wheels....and maybe the engine for a little extra power.
*Knocks some dents out of propeller caused by over excited kittiwakes as they were released from the flying surfboard*
*puts extra padding on the seat*
*puts the kettle on*

17th Jul 2009, 15:00

babs says:

I like the little engine idea.
*releases sheep , hums born free.
We may need crash helmets.. I'll take the handles off these two saucepans and crochet some chin straps.

*gets Boasters....

17th Jul 2009, 22:33

Jen says:

*wonders when to tell babs that the sheep are still a necessary part of the design....*
*decides not to*
*munches on a boaster*
mmm, crash hekmets is a good idea
*finds crochet hooks*

18th Jul 2009, 16:45

babs says:

*tries to peep over jen's shoulder to see designs for new mode of transport.

*jumps up and down in attempt..

I'll use the wool left over from the balaclava ...

18th Jul 2009, 18:41

jen says:

*wipe sweaty brow with forearm*
*fixes in a few more bolts*
*stands up and admires todays work*
think i need to tinker around a bit with the engine. It's to help the sheep. I've also made the whole 'vehicle' flexible so it can easily fit along the trickier sheep paths.
I left the propeller on so you can fly the first part of the journey, the sheep will be waiting in the paddock by the landing zone.
It makes the tranportation more environmentally friendly you see.
*yawns*
*puts the kettle on again*
*thinks it looks rather fetching as a hat*

20th Jul 2009, 22:44

babs says:

*gazes in awe.
it's ...it's ........ *is lost for words .A first for the blog .
Your finest work jen .
*stands back to admire.
I think we should go out for a spin, see what this baby can do .....
keep the kettle on jen , it's a good look for you. a sort of fascinator but without the feathers.
comfy seats too.......nice......
I found the old table tennis bats so one of us can do that wavey thing before take off.......

21st Jul 2009, 08:10

jen says:

Yes lets!
*does a last minute check*
yep all fine, hm, where shall we go?
*rearranges kettle to a jaunty angle*
*grabs one of the table tennis bats*
I'll wave you off, I want to see it working! And i havent' passed my driving test yet, and there's only one helmet
*hands the helmet over to babs*

21st Jul 2009, 20:10

babs says:

*adjusts finely crafted chin strap on saucepan crash hat.
*looks for seatbelt , doen't see one so improvises using bit of frayed baler band .
*attaches polished saucepan lid to use as makeshift wing mirror.

right jen, ..wave your bat when you're ready ,..........

accelerates ....50 ......60.....120..
suddenly remembers to release handbrake .......................

21st Jul 2009, 20:52

jen says:

*does a quick safety check*
*makes sure babs is secure in craft*
the seatbelts havr slipped under the seat, sorry
*fishes them out*

*runs to end of new runway and gets the bat out*

get ready babs!
*waves the tennis bat*
GO!!!!!!

22nd Jul 2009, 22:58

babs says:

*face does that wobbly cheek thing when 'g' force is applied.
*skilfully avoids wiping out jen..

*screams back to jen above wind noise
She's up to 25mph jen and we still have integrity , although the tassles on the seat cushion are starting to fray a little (mmmm tassles)
*puts foot down

*slows down for pheasant crossing test track .
*shouts back
Maybe could do with a pair of skis which could be lowered on the bottom for the really boggy bits .
*looks in pan lid wing mirror and adjusts hair.
We'll try it with the sheep next jen .....

23rd Jul 2009, 09:08

jen says:

*pulls self to feet after having dived onto the ground as babs passed over head*
well done, it seemed to work well
*makes notes on clipboard about the improvements*
we'll have to find a way of making the tassels wind proof
*digs skis out of the new and improved store cupboard*
right, test it out with the sheep and i'll think of how to attach the skis....

23rd Jul 2009, 22:58

babs says:

*wishes had clipboard too.
*sets off across t'moor in search of recently released sheep .
finds two.
It's getting dark out here jen, I'm worried I might get caught up in some local legend sort of goings on . I'll look for the others at first light .
First light being half past eleven on the morrow when I open the curtains.

24th Jul 2009, 00:08

jen says:

it's okay, i'll bring my dogs in from real life briefly to round them up. I knew I had collies for a reason...
*brings cally and cobweb in from the sitting room*
*releases them onto moor*
*whistles and stuff to get them to bring in sheep*
hey, it's working!
*sheep come flocking into workshop*
they we are
*puts dogs back into real world*
*makes a cup of tea and waits for babs to stir*
hm, I'll just harness the sheep up...

24th Jul 2009, 12:56

babs says:

*stirs
*yawns

Ooooo is that the time ?
*likes names of real life dogs
*also likes fact they play along and round up imaginary sheep
*pats

*stirs tea.
I hope the harnesses work jen. I used a cable stitch so they should be strong enough.

24th Jul 2009, 13:55

jen says:

*tests harenesses*
yep, they seem to be strong enough
*ticks off on clipboard*
right, we should be ready to go.
I've sorted out the tassels, and attached proper sidemirrors.
I checked fuel levels, and the brakes.
so yeah, I'll attach the sheep and we'll be ready...
*gets sheep*
