Very well presented.
Does that stringy bit on the end of the carrot count towards its length?

Cheers folks, I do love me a prize produce tent; glad they've tickled your fancy.

Joker - they weren't being judged on size. The real giant veg don't come out until the Shepton Mallet show in September.

A HL for the fruit plates? Ta muchly. :)

That time of year again already!

I do love the way they do the onion tops all neat and tied off. Lovely.

I'm fascinated that you have carrots and figs in summer. In Sydney they're a winter crop. Love the photos.

hildegard says:

The onions were indeed beautifully presented & impossibly large. In defence of the carrots, these would be a lot easier to peel, albeit less comical.

Jesson - The carrots are an early crop, we lift them from about July to Nov. Suspect that what you have down as figs are actually tiny, early pears. :)
