My parents came to visit yesterday. Last time they were here they moaned about the fact that i didn't have any biscuits, so this time i made a cake.
The facts: It is vegan. It contains vanilla essence, currants and tangerine cordial. It is tasty.
The fiction: It is the best cake i have ever made.

I think i'll make another one soon.

(I've just realised this makes 3 posts in a row that are food related. I like food.)

Edit: It would also seem that licking the cakes i make is a common occurance: I don't know why.

I made scones with courgettes yesterday! There was a bit of butter in it, but no other animal products. I am going to try them again for my nephew with soya marg instead.

there was nothing savoury about them. In the same way that carrotes don't make carrot cake savoury.

FF, carrots get far too sweet & unsavoury. Particularly when roasted. One can definitely over roast a carrot.

Geodyne, i reckon the recipe is pretty perfect. I just buggered it up by adding extra cordial! D'oh.
