Does seem a big contrast to last year.
A complete wash out last year so I hear, where not even a single balloon was launched!

Wasn't quite that bad - just clicked the "hot air balloon" tag & there's 17 balloons in just one of my shots from last year's fiesta. :)
It wasn't a classic year I grant you, mind. Only one evening flight & it didn't go well. I was on the Downs & they fair whisked over us. Some poor souls were rumoured to have been blown as far as Wells. The single morning flight they managed seemed a bit truncated - think it was a low cloud problem; hardly anyone got further than the Downs that time.

Ah right, well at least this year is still an improvement!
Someone at work said they got loads of friends and relatives down to visit the festival last year, but everyone was really disappointed when they didn't see any balloons launched :(
