Light pollution can have it's benefits.
Lovely shot.
Have a great time in Salop, hope the weather's good to you, you don't want it too hot in a caravan either.
Sans teens is good, we're off away sans teens too in 2-and-a-bit weeks time.
Thank you all, Just about to set off now. Going to take a leisurely afternoon drive up to Shrrewsbury.
Nice shot! Gorilla pod, love those, I have one too. Have a nice holiday. :)
mysteritmo, thanks :)
Caine, they're great, aren't they? Perfect for my little camera and quite an interesting effect having the camera 3 inches above the sand.
Twiglet, thanks :)
Nige's comment is bang on. It reminds me a little of when I used to shoot with film. You could never be quite sure of how the film would react to the light. Here I think something similar has happened with teh red from teh town dominating teh scene which I think creates a really interesting effect.
Wendle, thanks!
taniwha, I remember the days of shooting in Kodachrome on my OM1, having to use Cokin filters to adjust for colour balance - no Photoshopping then! I guess the modern equivalent is adjusting white balance in the camera, but the 'corrected' shots were just boring. I'm sure that if I tried correcting the colour in Photoshop the result would be the same so I just kept with the shot as it came out of the camera.
