A scorcher today, beach was busy again, and down the road in Rhos-on-Sea, it was really busy.
When I was in Llandudno I saw the donkeys walking to the beach at 1 O'clock (1300 hours)
Its great in Llandudno and Colwyn Bay (12 mins apart in a car go down the coast road - not the A 55!).
For the kids there is nothing better than a sandy beach, Punch and Judy (hit the wife and kids and shout "that's the way to do it!" --kids love it! --and here in wales, it is not going to change it if someone says 'that's wife beating, --maybe it is, but maybe it happened 150 years ago when this show was 'on the beach in Llandudno', --- the current Punch and Judy stage and puppets have been working every year since 1860 (established 1860).
The policeman is made into sausages and fed to the crocadile --no moral or nice ending to this show --just reality as it sometimes was ---at least the policeman wasn't made into pies!--(Can anyone remember who did this?-- a vicrorian or edwardian barber with a chair and a cellar underneath) ---I remember --google 'Sweeny Todd'.
OK so now I am going to try to make an image link --if it works you will see a postcard of Colwyn Bay from the 50's
Colwyn Bay Postcard
I have not done this before, I think it looks a bit big?
I have put a watermark in the postcard as it was in the attic in a Colwyn Bay shop for the last 50 years.
For anyone who reads
Voices of Colwyn Bay --I was going to make a joke that Llandudno has some donkeys and Colwyn Bay has some Ass's --but as most people won't understand it, I won't.
My friend told me about this, they also have a moblog, so sometimes ours are a bit similar.
Yes Moblog is friggin fantastic!!
