That clocktower is amazing looking. Looks like a fantastic place architecturally.
I was coming in on that water from Dublin that morning! Did you wave? Didn't see you.
Look at the intense concentration on my face - how much effort does a snap with a camera phone take!!!!
Twiglet, thanks :)
Caine, it is indeed a fascinating place - hope to be able to spend some moe time there some day.
Joker, not in the morning. I actually posted the photos in the reverse order that they were taken so the Liverpool shots were late afternoon/evening. We did see a Norfolk Line ferry coming in though and did wonder if you might be on it so we weren't far out. :)
mysteritmo, thanks :)
TOH, ah but works of art take concentration :)
I was on "Sea-Trucks", a freighter out of Liverpool docks (the NorfolkLine operates from Birkenhead), just two drivers on board, Russian crew, and so far, far superior to Stena-Holyhead or Norfolk-Birkenhead, or P&O-Bootle.;
It's all in the attitude, the British staff on the "mainstream" ferries seem just so disinterested and generally Jacked-off to (have to) be there.
Nice Russian lady shows me to my cabin, gives me a couple of free beers, choice of about six different menus, dishes up the rope-soup and smiles a lot.
