We (the BaggieBoy and I) were cycling back from 'our' farm, on a fairly narrow country road. A bus overtook us, (crossing a solid centre white line, the naughty driver) it cut sharply back infont of me (narrowly missing my elbow) causing the backend to swing out further. An on coming motorcyclist made contact with the bus. The guy didn't appear too badly hurt.

The urge to get my camphone out and take pictures was very strong, but I was trying to act as the sensible first aider!

What struck me (not the bus thank goodness) was how polite everyone was, no getting angry or blaming people

The standard of bus driving hasn't changed much since I left then? Glad you weren't hurt.

I was in a cycle accident myself last week when a woman opened the passenger door of her shiny red SUV right onto the cycle path in front of me. I went straight into it, but luckily was travelling at low speed.
