swamprose says:

we still need time off, viv. it's just very Canadian to be aware of what's melting, and how fast. Here it means a whole way of life is disappearing, for people and the animals that depend on the cold. how nice to know that Euphro will be there.

Viv says:

It's not that it doesn't worry me - there are more and more signs all the time that things are changing

just that I have wanted to go to Andalucia for some time and now it is only just over a month away and I'm getting excited! :)
For years we only ever went away in the camper and it was great but then it stopped and Alan didn't seem interested at all and I went away with the girls or friends for short breaks and last year in Tunisia was the first holiday in hotels and our first coach tour so when he said he wanted to go to Seville I jumped in straight away the same company do a tour of Andalucia ... and it was agreed in 10 mins! A totally remarkable occurence in my marriage :) So you have to forgive my excitement - I tried to presuade him to do this tour about 10 years ago!

You will love it, Viv! (Granada is a bit of a building site at the moment but only in some of the newer areas; the old town is untouched) So much to photograph; so little time!

Yes, I will pass on your concerns. I have to say that Spain is well ahead in the low carbon footprint stakes. The whole conference centre is powered by 1645 square metres of solar panels on the roof and every mountain ridge that I could see as we flew in was lined with wind turbines. They are taking the lead with heliothermal/solar thermal power generation too.
