\(^ ^ ) My name is Yuba. I'm a 23 year old teacher and freelance translator living in Tokyo, Japan. Sometimes I model. Sometimes I sleep. A lot of the time, I take photos of what I'm about to eat. Yum yum yum!

Yesterday I went to see Aikawa Nanase's "Live Emotion 2009" concert in Shibuya C.C. Lemon Hall.

I've been a fan of her music since I was in high school and introduced by a friend online, so it was awesome to finally see her live, since I'd rather been of the opinion that she'd dropped off the face of the planet several years ago. It's been 12 years since her debut, and if I'm not mistaken she has had two children in the intervening time!

She was awesome, full of energy, totally cute - even, or perhaps especially, when she mistook the point in one song where she was supposed to come in and brought the entire thing to a giggling halt. And best of all, she played some of my favourite tracks!

Photo breakdown time.

1. Self-indulgent photo. I don't normally post these but my friend and I were both taking them last night because of the date!

2. I always WANT to take photos of the flowers that other artists and industry send at each concert in Japan, but I never get the chance. Yesterday I was allowed inside the venue before the crowds, though, so I got an unhindered chance!

3 & 4. In the lobby of the venue, they were advertising some kind of pachinko machine that was Aikawa Nanase-themed! It was weird but I wanted to take photos anyway XD

5 & 6. The inside of the venue before the concert and during the encore. (I didn't take photos during the concert - it was a smaller venue than the HUGE anime event I posted a photo from before, and it would have just been rude!) This was my first time in Shibuya C.C. Lemon Hall, and I was surprised at how cosy it was. The set was pretty cool, though you can't make out the giant, sparkly wings very well from my awful photo.

The highlight of my evening was bumping into someone I met at dinner last week - yes, the time I ate the raw organ meat - and exchanging contact details! I am a networking fiend <3
