no more holga pictures left! instead I relied on the trusty sony ericsson c902 to document some of the quirky things on display in malmo. as impressively clean and convenient ikea flat-pack furniture is, the real beauty of swedish design comes from cartoons and illustrations, toys, trinkets and ornaments. all of these are imbued with a unique sense of naive simplicity which the swedes seem to treasure.

Number one is my favourite. I find it creepy and sweet at the same time :)

cheers. by the way if anyone knows the title of an illustrated swedish children's book which features a big sad monster with an oversized nose and limbs who cries when he (accidentally) does bad things, please let me know! I saw it in a shop in malmo, and now regret not buying it.

I agree Billion. When I was in Gotheburg, I felt that interesting art was one of teh strong points of Sweden.
