Yeah, this copy belongs to my Mum. It looks like she's read it a few times, yet she can't remember it at all!
So far it's moody, but slow. For a short book not much is happening...
Eh. The Shining was scarier. (The book, obviously, the film was poo.)
The Shining had a great claustrophobic atmosphere to it. King at his best, I think.
Do you mean Kubrik's The Shining or Steven Kinds film? In Kubrik's Jack Nicholson really stunk up the picture and the gathering of the spirits is a bit clunky but in terms of visuals and atmosphere, I reckon it's A1.
Kubrik's. I don't reckon much to it at all. None of the atmosphere of the book. And i know it's difficult in film, but none of what Jack was thinking, feeling or mentallly going through was translated well at all. And the ending of the book is WAY better :)
