For my birthday, some friends and I went to Oedo Onsen in Odaiba. I'd been there once before and was desperate to go back and spend a bit longer there. We'd been talking earlier in the day about that spa treatment where you get little fishies to nibble all the dead skin off your feet... And lo and behold, we made it there to find that they had it! We were all amazingly excited for Dr. Fish and paid up our 1,500 yen for fifteen minutes in the pool.
At first it was so strange; the fish flocked to us and we all squealed in mixed shock and delight. Certainly not pain, though perhaps there was a little bit of fright mixed in with it. It felt really funny after a while. Those fish get EVERYWHERE - between your toes, even. It was probably the best 1,500 yen I spent for 15 minutes, though...
Afterwards we ate and drank. There's lots more than just sushi at Oedo Onsen, but we all somehow ended up picking sushi in the end. It was a great night; obviously I didn't take any photos actually INSIDE the baths, but suffice to say that I'd make the trip out there every other day if I could afford it.
