On October 31, the Children's Storefront burned down and was demolished. For over 30 years it been a place where kids and parents taught each other how to survive and have fun. Because it is so old, it is one of the few unstructured parent-child resources in Toronto. I took my boys there, and was lucky enough to take Oscar there. Now most of my spare time is gone. We are fundraising and looking for a new home. I just can't say what a miracle of fun and sanity it was. They have a facebook site so I joined. Forgive me for not friending everyone but facebook is not my style, and my sons are definitely not keen on having their mom take care, and wish us the best.

sounds like a wonderful project - hope it comes out the other side all the stronger for it

unstructured - our laws are so stupid now that 2 female police officers who job shared and child shared (looking after each other) were nearly prosecuted!
