Random Image:
what? they frisk you for your lens at the door? ready for the olympics? is there enough snow?
I like these. I always sit so high up that everything looks like toys anyway.
I'm with swamprose - how did they know? Do they have special spotters in the crowd?
Woo hockey! Was there roughing?
Swamp: we were up pretty high too, but the view was good enough to see what was going on.
They didn't frisk me, but they did check my bag when I went in and told me any telephoto zoom lenses weren't allowed. I thought it would be ok, but a few other people in my section had zooms and were pounced on my staff telling them if they got them out again they'd be confiscated. Given that my zoom is a massive white not-so-inconspicuous lens I thought it would be best to keep it in my bag. They even double checked my lensbaby to make sure it wasn't telephoto, despite it being tiny. I think consumer SLRs are getting so good now that the stadium is worried people will sell their photos rather than the offical photographers on the ground.
Crickson> There was only a little spat, no major fights. There was some controversy though, as one of the referees allegedly told a player he was out to get him, and then gave him a contentious penalty which ultimately lead to his team losing.
