Hi, I'm Rick also known as Mr. C. I used to shoot with a Canon SLR, but that was a long while back. I got a new camera, an Olympus SP-510UZ on 11/06/06. I've added a Nikon D90 with a 55-200 lens to my camera bag in 2010. I'll get a camphone if Almont ever enters the 21st century.

I'm now shooting with a brand new Nikon D90 with a 55-200mm VR lens.

These are great, not really how I imagined the landscape from your other shots.
Is the pyramid a spoil-heap?

Rick says:

Thanks, Jane. There are just a few places where the roads crest a tall hill with enough height for these vast panoramas. Covered in snow, they remind me of a moonscape. The pyramid is a small hill a couple of miles away. Its' steep sides lacking snow intrigued me.

Thanks, Dhamaka. I had to go to my most photogenic spot to practice and learn this camera!
Thanks, Mara! Sunny day right after a light snow makes for wonderful landscapes.
Thanks C. Yeah, the excitement of working with good gear is coming through.
Hi Viv. Most of the hills around here are pretty normal. Some are just a piece of the badlands randomly thrown in. That hill is one of those. It does look its' best in winter!

Thanks, 540! The emptiness of that one is what I like.
Credit goes to Mrs. C for the CSS.
