*dies of cute*

Suggestion for the sleep thing: get an old fashioned ticking clock. wrap in light towel to muffle ticking a little, and put right outside her crate. Also, cover crate with a towel or blanket to make it denlike. And, put crate right beside your bed so she can smell and hear you. Finally, stick to your guns, hard as it is, and she will learn that crate is sleepy place, because when she weighs 80 lbs you are going to want her to be ok with being in there, believe me.

The crate by the bed thing was actually an abyssmal failure. She's actually doing REALLY well in the bathroom with music on. She likes classical but not opera. Today we're experimenting with world and jazz.

Because she's still so young and gets up to use the bathroom A LOT, we're keeping her crate door open so she can go in and out to use her puppy pad. She's figuring that one out, which is good. Once she has a bit more bladder control we'll start the actual crate training.

Her mom is 90 pounds (or was before she nursed 9 puppies) and the father is more like 120. We DEFINITELY are invested in training, omg. We just have to wait until she's between 8 and 10 weeks for most trainers to work with her.

AND YES PUPPY KONG!!! I almost died when I saw it. She carries it around a little bit and it causes me actual physical pain from cuteness.
