Guerilla Gardening in Broughton, Milton Keynes

(viewed 1466 times)

A community mobiliser friend of mine organised a spot of guerilla gardening in the Milton Keynes estate, Broughton. In eight years since the estate has been built, there are still certain areas of which neither the developers nor local council will take responsibility for. What to do? Get some local helpers and get planting. Now the place looks pretty & bright.

Love it, take control, the councils can no longer afford to do it unless a sponsor takes over, so do it just do it, oh and don't get caught ! ?-)

I truly do. I do the same thing here, and after a few years, it's neat to pass by something that used to be a garbage area and now is green. Big thing here now is growing your own vegetables. Lawns are being torn up, new allotments are being created, seeds sown...
