I've just been trying to remember - I think maybe Southwark street, traffic was diverted away from the river for work on the the railway bridge?
Whatever - that's definitely the same spot as the marks on the stonework etc all match up : )

That's it. We walked from London Bridge hoping for a nice stroll but the diversion was kinda pain. I snapped it then. Still like the coincidence.

It puzzles me too. It seems to be some kind of memorial made out of denim and flowers. perhaps a sacrifice to the great hippy God?

It was but it's placement suggested something more. Further along the river I found a bunch of kids continuing the fine tradition of pot smoking while enjoying the great outdoors. Perhaps they had something to do with it?
