Strolling through London the other day I stumbled across this restaurant. 245 Shaftesbury Avenue ... rings a bell, I thought ...

Cat Stevens grew up here, his parents ran the restaurant and lived in the flat upstairs. Kinda cool thing to accidentally find.

I didn't eat there though. We went to C & R Cafe Restaurant in Rupert Court. If you've been there, you'll know it was good.

You can just see the roof through the trees. Apparently, Stevens sat up there listening to music wafting over from from the West End shows. Couldn't be a better place for a young musician.
