"And as you cross the circle line,
Well the ice wall creaks behind
You're a rabbit on the run.
And the silver splinters fly
In the corner of your eye,
Shining in the setting sun.
Well do you ever get the feeling
That the story's too damn real
And in the present tense.
Or that everbody's on the stage
And it seems like you're the only
Person sitting in the audience
Skating away, skating away, skating away
On the thin ice of the new day"

These are all astoundingly good but the first one is just incredible.
Either these wasps must be very big or you get very close - beautiful textures and colour!
Thanks, Kostika. The dandelions are out in force, but no bees, just this one wasp.
Thanks, Mysteritmo!
Thank you, Taniwha. I was down on all fours in the dandelions shooting. If you watch them long enough, you can tell when they've exhausted a flower and are ready to take off. Then you just hope you've got your lens pointed in the right direction!
Frog51, thank you! These are normal sized wasps. I think. I was *very* close.
Thank you, Sprocket. I'm with you on the scary. Fortunately, this one was pretty focused on the dandelions.
Thanks, Rick. The weather has been terrible here, and that might be the reason, but I've been worried about the bees again - not one in sight, even though there are dandelions all over.
I always worry about the bees. Luckily I've seen many around our flowers this year. No luck getting a shot of them yet though.
I'm glad you've seen bees, Kostika. The news hasn't been good lately. I think (I hope) it's just been too cool for them yet.
Wow, again! These are fabtastic and added as favourites. My daughter thinks they are cool too.
Another Wow from me, I am going to have to find some time to catch up with your blog :)
I've got behind too - your pictures are so good
yes I've seen quite a lot of bees too :)
Thanks, IceTwister and thanks to your daughter too. :)
Thanks, Maggie.
Thanks, Viv. I'm glad you've seen bees. Still not too many here.
Thank you, Dhamaka.
