"And as you cross the circle line,
Well the ice wall creaks behind
You're a rabbit on the run.
And the silver splinters fly
In the corner of your eye,
Shining in the setting sun.
Well do you ever get the feeling
That the story's too damn real
And in the present tense.
Or that everbody's on the stage
And it seems like you're the only
Person sitting in the audience

Skating away, skating away, skating away On the thin ice of the new day"

Either these wasps must be very big or you get very close - beautiful textures and colour!

these are fabulous . . . and scary

Caine says:

Thanks, Kostika. The dandelions are out in force, but no bees, just this one wasp.

Thanks, Mysteritmo!

Thank you, Taniwha. I was down on all fours in the dandelions shooting. If you watch them long enough, you can tell when they've exhausted a flower and are ready to take off. Then you just hope you've got your lens pointed in the right direction!

Frog51, thank you! These are normal sized wasps. I think. I was *very* close.

Thank you, Sprocket. I'm with you on the scary. Fortunately, this one was pretty focused on the dandelions.

Excellent series, Caine. Congrats on the HL!

5th May 2010, 02:19

Caine says:

Thanks, Rick. The weather has been terrible here, and that might be the reason, but I've been worried about the bees again - not one in sight, even though there are dandelions all over.

Kostika says:

I always worry about the bees. Luckily I've seen many around our flowers this year. No luck getting a shot of them yet though.

5th May 2010, 16:48

Caine says:

I'm glad you've seen bees, Kostika. The news hasn't been good lately. I think (I hope) it's just been too cool for them yet.
