looks like it hit some serious heat, melted it's wings. Bees are still having serious problems with hives dying. I just hope this isn't a disease. On top of that, this is a great macro photo!

thanks Rick - poor bees, now I wouldn't have a problem if it was wasps that were dying out

my sony-eric camphone is still the bees-knees for macro shots, the trick is to use it upside-down so that the lens is only 5mm off ground level

Heh, I've been using the upside down trick for a while too. Helps steady it too.

SEs really do take some lovely macro shots sometimes.
