It's not updated daily, not even regularly sometimes. It gets updated when I manage to get round to it. It's mainly me moaning about things. ;)

Wonderful. That's a healthy looking venus there. Is this in the UK? How will the venus do in winter?
Hi taniwha. Yes I'm in the UK. The VFTs go into dormancy through winter. Most of the traps are not replaced when they die off, but the rhizome is fine. These plants are all a few years old now.
When I first became interested in these plants I was told that it is almost impossible to keep Nepenthes in the UK without specially set up greenhouses etc. I have a regular greenhouse with nothing more 'special' than a heater and have managed to keep several varieties of Nepenthes alive for a few years. They are a bit more fragile than the others, but they seem to be doing OK. :)
I have a VFT on my window sill which seems to be doing fine. Just needs a bit attention. The kids love it. Thinking of expanding into other eating plants.
A nice warm window sill is an ideal place. Do you leave it there all through winter too? Several of my friends that keep them indoors actually put them in the fridge for their winter dormancy.
They are quite good in that they don't really need too much attention as long as certain rules are followed, such a not setting off traps deliberately, not watering them with tap water, removing any stalks that appear (these will produce seeds, but exhaust the plant), not feeding them ham or beefburgers. ;)
Nice to see you, and the plants, come out of hibernation Rez! Welcome back :)
