Year 2 go beside the seaside!

Today Year 2 went on their class trip to Bridlington. We started off at the South Shore Lifeboat Station, where Stewart & Allan told us all about the lifeboat and what life is like as part of the crew. Next we walked to the Beside The Seaside museum. Here the children learnt a little about what seaside holidays were like in the past. They had lots of fun exploring the exhibits! After visiting the rock shop the sun came out, and so we spent a great hour playing on the beach. As you can see there was lots of digging going on while some children preferred to get to know the local sea life. We had a great day thanks to the superb behaviour of all the children! Huge thanks go the lifeboat crew as they gave us their time for free, and also to our helpers for giving up their day to accompany us.
