Michael Jackson ‘look-alike’ wins Leven’s Got Talent.
LEVEN CHURCH of ENGLAND School reverberated last week to the sounds and music of talented pupils who ‘starred’ in the first ever production of ‘Leven’s Got Talent.’
The idea for the unique talent competition came from the twenty pupils of the ‘School Council’ and from the many competitors’ seven acts made it through to the finals.
Three independent persons of the Simon Cowell variety were specially drafted in to pass judgement on the finalists so that there could be no accusations of favouritism.
All of the acts were fantastic but there always needs to be a winner and the judges chose that person to be Ben Wood who modelled his dance routines on those made famous by the ‘late’ Michael Jackson.
Ben said, “I have all his DVD’s and have been to America and was photographed with someone who looked very much like him.”
It was especially apt for Ben to win, as this is his last week at Leven School before he moves house to Beverley.
Head of School Andrew Dolman said, “ We wanted to reward the pupils for all the hard work they have applied to their studies over he past year and when we asked the school council how we should do this they came up with this idea. It has been so fantastic that it is something we hope to continue. I would especially like to thank our teacher Diedre Pearson who worked hard to make the idea into a reality.”

MICHAEL JACKSON: Today Ben Wood is Michael Jackson.
