"And as you cross the circle line,
Well the ice wall creaks behind
You're a rabbit on the run.
And the silver splinters fly
In the corner of your eye,
Shining in the setting sun.
Well do you ever get the feeling
That the story's too damn real
And in the present tense.
Or that everbody's on the stage
And it seems like you're the only
Person sitting in the audience
Skating away, skating away, skating away
On the thin ice of the new day"

Hey Caine
Absolutely stunning pictures. My wife is a budding amateur photographer and will be very interested when I show her your work.
In other news: possibly you may see more of me, now that PZ might be going into self-imposed hibernation. Hope that'll be more fun for you than a pain!
Thank you! I still consider myself very much an amateur. I've only been taking photos for 4 years and I'm still learning.
Moblog and Mobloggers have a lot of responsibility for my growth as a photographer. This is a great place for photographers of all stages. It would be great if MrsFire would start a moblog, it's free, ya know. It is nice when people subscribe, we can always use the money, but it isn't required.
Yes, it will be fun to see you here, all the horde is more than welcome!
Thank you so much, Mysteritmo! :) This dragon was particularly cooperative, for which I was ever so grateful.
Yep, couldn't decide, faved them all! :) Although, if I had to pick one, it would be #4, I adore how you can see the flowers through the tips of his wings. :D
Echoing the other comments I think that you have done a masterful job here. The colours are wonderful and the tight depth of field is perfect for the subject :)
Thank you, Euphro! Usually, these guys flit away as soon as you get close, but this one didn't seem to mind my intrusiveness. Once again, the 18-135mm lens really came through for me. :)
Breathtaking. I have tried to take pictures of dragonflies before... I am incredibly envious. Also, furthermore, thank goodness for negotiations.
Thank you! Dragons require patience and practice, practice, practice. Silly as it sounds, I've found talking to them quietly tends to keep them in place while they eyeball you. :D
Yes, yay! for negotiations. I hope they get somewhere, quickly. If this goes on for any length of time, it's going to be difficult to cope.
I never thought dragonflies looked so incredible. I've always liked bees, myself.
I'm very fond of dragonflies, I like everything about them. I like bees too. And I shoot them:

:D
I like three the best. Like the way it seems to be hovering without effort and still at work.
Also, nice to see you around again ...
Hmm. I have a question that I hope you don't find too bizarre: Have you ever had ducks as your subjects? I love those little beasties; they have a similar place in my heart that squid do for a certain blogger.
Thanks, Taniwha! It's much nicer hanging out at Moblog than ripping carpet out. At this point, I never want to see carpet again.
Thanks, Puddikat. :)
MrFire, I love shooting ducks, but don't often get the opportunity. Where I live, ducks get shot at (with guns), so they are skittish buggers. However, they are frequent subjects here on Moblog. If you go to http://moblog.net/search/pictures/ and type in ducks, you'll get pages of results. Also, visit Euphro's moblog: http://moblog.net/Euphro/ - he got the most stunning shot of a swan along with two adorable goslings.
Thank you, Twiglet!
Thank you, Sprocket! It's not often one will model for me like this one did.
Thank you, Dhamaka. I missed you, too. I really want to get out and shoot more. Now, if only these thunderstorms would give it a rest...
Once again I must say that I am a fan of your photography. And it's good to know you're still active post Pharyngula. ;)
Hi Gyeong Hwa! Thank you so much. :) I can always be found here, I can't imagine giving up photography, or Moblog, for that matter.
I sure hope the strike ends soon, PZ's going to have a mob of crazed people on his hands. ;D
