"And as you cross the circle line,
Well the ice wall creaks behind
You're a rabbit on the run.
And the silver splinters fly
In the corner of your eye,
Shining in the setting sun.
Well do you ever get the feeling
That the story's too damn real
And in the present tense.
Or that everbody's on the stage
And it seems like you're the only
Person sitting in the audience
Skating away, skating away, skating away
On the thin ice of the new day"

She's a very happy camper. Just got some more shots of her hauling peanuts off. :D
OM NOM NOM!
(I can haz moar nutz nao, y/y? Watch me eatz them all. Nom.)
Itchy, spot on! I got a look at this little gal's belly, she's got young ones, so this is just grocery shopping. :D
Thanks, Dania. Between Bruce (pet rat) and the Wrongway clan, I don't know if I have enough peanuts to last the week.
OMG. Kawaii. Does it borrow near by?
Thank you, Gyeong Hwa. I think she's totally kawaii too. The Wrongway clan is what we call our gang of squirrels. They're all one family, started by Wrongway Senior, who is the clumsiest squirrel ever. (That's why we named him Wrongway).
The whole clan, which is very large now, lives on our property. Most of them live in the big Cottonwood trees. This was taken on my front deck, where they routinely come to feed with the birds. This little girl was busy hauling off every peanut I put out today. I put these peanuts in the shell out specifically for them.
:D This is odd, but I noticed the streak of orange on one of her lower teeth - they must share that with rats, orange teeth are a sign of good health. That really made me happy.
Oh she is gorgeous and your photography brilliant, clean and clear :)
Thank you, Dhamaka! She's a wonderful subject, not nervous at all. Of course, if there's peanuts at stake, she'd brave just about anything. :)
Congrats on the HL. It's very well deserved - a superb shot. So cute! Faved.
Thanks, Mysteritmo, she's a fave subject, as are all her extended family.
