Very beautiful, and inspiring. You have to get beyond the official site though, which is heavily fenced, to really experience the cliffs.

Ah, it must have changed a bit since I was there (my father was from County Clare and I went there a lot when I was younger). We used to lie flat on one particular slab of rock and look down. On windy days you could throw rocks over and watch them fly back up over your head :)

The slab is still there but no access to it anymore. They've put a new stone path and steps, about one-lane road's width, at least 2-3m from the edge. The path is sunken to chest height, so kids can't see over without being lifted up. And because you're so low and the grass verge so wide, you can't see the prong below the big slab at all, unless you go off limits, ie, on the cliff path in the neighbouring farmers' fields - which most tourists do!
That was great fun.
