There's a very old Australian Christmas song about brolga's dancing ('Carol of the birds' http://silver-mg.com/Xmas/Xmas_Lyrics_Aussie_Songs.htm#anchor22 ). I learnt it as a child but until a year ago had never actually seen a real brolga- they were somewhat mythical to me so seeing them in the wild is a childhood dream come true.
